Saundersfoot
Saundersfoot
Saundersfoot harbour was originally built to transport coal from mines in and around Stepaside.
Nothing remains of the mines except the route of the tramway leading from The Strand to Coppet hall,
and onwards to Wisemans Bridge.
This walk takes you through a series of short tunnels. If you wish to continue this walk it will lead you
through the woods to Stepaside, where the remains of the old iron works can be explored.
Today Saundersfoot is a small seaside resort situated between Tenby and Amroth. It has a very
accessable, safe family bathing beach, with lifeguards present during summer months.
It holds a blue flag award and is a wide sandy beach.
There are an abundance of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops, along with grocery and gift stores.
Saundersfoot is a great place to relax explore and enjoy. Why not stay at The Lanterns, we are
centrally located in the lovely village of Saundersfoot.
